The promises of God made to Israel - Zechariah 10

The promises made to Israel
1 - I asked the LORD for rain in the time of the latter rain, even unto the LORD that maketh lightnings; and he shall give them showers of rain, and every herb in the field.
2 - For the idols speak vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and tell false dreams; with vanity comfort, therefore they go their way like sheep; they are afflicted, because there is no shepherd.
3 - Against the shepherds my anger is kindled, and I will punish the goats; but the LORD of hosts will visit his flock, the house of Judah, and he will make them like his mighty horse in battle.
4 - Out of him shall come forth the corner stone, and his bow, from him the bow of war, from him shall all the oppressor go forth together.
5 And they shall be as mighty men who in battle shall crush the enemy in the mire of the streets; for the LORD will be with them; and they shall confound them that ride upon horses.
6 - And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again, because I have compassion on them; and they shall be as though I had not rejected them, for I am the LORD their God, and I will hear them.
7 And the men of Ephraim shall be as a mighty man, and his heart shall be glad as with wine; and his sons shall summer, and shall rejoice; his heart shall rejoice in the LORD.
8 - I will whistle and gather them; for I have redeemed them; and they shall multiply as before they were multiplied.
9 - Though I have scattered them among the peoples, they shall remember me in remote places; and they shall live with their children, and they shall return.
10 - For I will bring them again from the land of Egypt, and will gather them from Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, and there shall be no place enough for them.
11 And he shall pass over the sea with anguish, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile shall wither; then the pride of Assyria shall be overthrown, and the scepter of Egypt shall withdraw.
12 - And I will strengthen them in the LORD, and they shall walk in his name, saith the LORD.

Resurrection of Jesus Christ - Matthew 28

Resurrection of Jesus Christ
1 - In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 - And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.*was: or, had been
3 - His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4 - And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5 - And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 - He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 - And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
8 - And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9 - And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.
10 - Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11 - Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
12 - And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,
13 - Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
14 - And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.
15 - So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
16 - Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17 - And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18 - And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 - Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:*teach...: or, make disciples, or, Christians of all nations
20 - Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The ten Commandments

The ten Commandments
1 - And God spake all these words, saying,
2 - I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 - Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of that which is in the heavens above, or in the earth beneath, or in the waters beneath the earth.
5 - Thou shalt not bow down to them nor serve them; for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.
6 - And I show mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and to them that keep my commandments.
7 - Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless to take his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 - Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work.
10 - But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God; thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy servant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.
11 - For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 - Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, neither covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any of thy neighbor's.
18 - And all the people saw the thunders and the lightnings, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and the people saw it, and departed, and stood afar off.
19 - And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear; and let not God speak with us, lest we die.
20 - And Moses said unto the people, Fear not, God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before you, that ye sin not.
21 - And the people stood afar off. But Moses came to the darkness where God was.
22 - And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have spoken with you from the heavens.
23 - Thou shalt not make other gods with me; gods of silver or golden gods you will not do for yourselves.
24 - Thou shalt make me an altar of land, and thou shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, and thy sheep, and thy herds; in all the place, where I cause to celebrate the memory of my name, I will come to you and bless you.
25 - And if thou make me an altar of stones, thou shalt not make it of hewn stone; and if thou lift up thy graving upon it, thou shalt defile it.
26 - Thou shalt not go up to the altar with thy steps, lest thy nakedness be uncovered before them.
