Jesus Forgives and Rescues an Adulterous Woman John 8

Jesus Forgives And Saves An Adulterous Woman
- But JESUS went to the Mount of Olives.
- And early in the morning he returned unto the temple, and all the people came unto him, and sat down and taught them.
- And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman caught in adultery;
- And when he had set her in the midst, they said unto him, Master, this woman was taken, even in the act, to do adultery.
- And in the law Moses commanded us that such should be stoned. So what do you say?
- This they said, tempting him, that they should accuse him. But Jesus bowed and wrote with his finger on the earth.
- And when they had persisted in asking him, he straightened up, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
- And he bowed again, and wrote in the earth.
- And when they heard this, they rose up one by one, beginning with the elders to the last; there remained only Jesus and the woman in the middle.
- And Jesus straightened up, and saw no one but the woman, and said unto him, Woman, where are thy accusers? Has no one condemned you?
- And she said, No man, Lord. And Jesus saith unto him, Neither do I condemn thee; go, and sin no more.

Jesus, The Light Of The World
- Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world; he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
- And the Pharisees said unto him, Thou beareth witness of thyself; your testimony is not true.
- And Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I testify of myself, my testimony is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but you do not know where I come from, or where I am going.
- Ye judge according to the flesh; I do not judge anyone.
- And if I do judge, my judgment is true; for it is not I alone, but I and the Father who sent me.
- And it is written in your law also, that the testimony of two men is true.
- I testify of myself, and the Father who sent me also testifies of me.
- And they said unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, "You do not know me or my Father; if you knew me, you would also know my Father.
- These words Jesus said in the place of the treasure, teaching in the temple, and no one arrested him, because his hour was not yet come.
- And Jesus saith unto them again, I will withdraw, and ye shall seek me, and ye shall die in your sin. Where I go, you can not come.
- And the Jews said, Will he kill himself, for he saith, Whither I go ye can not come?
- And he said unto them, Ye are of the lowest; I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world.
- Therefore I said unto you, that ye shall die in your sins; for if ye will not believe that I AM, ye shall die in your sins.
- And they said unto him, Who art thou? Jesus said to them, "This is what I told you from the beginning.
- I have much to say and to judge of you, but he that sent me is true; and what I have heard from him, I speak to the world.
- But they did not understand that he spake unto them of the Father.
- And Jesus saith unto them, When ye shall lift up the Son of man, then shall ye know who I am, and what I do by myself; but this I speak as my Father taught me.
- And he that sent me is with me. The Father has not left me alone, because I always do what pleases him.

Jesus Greater Than Abraham
- When he spake these things, many believed on him.
- And Jesus said unto the Jews that believed in him, If ye abide in my word, ye shall be my disciples indeed;
- And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
- And they said unto him, We are the seed of Abraham, and we serve no man; how sayest thou, Ye shall be free?
- Jesus saith unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Every one that committeth sin is the servant of sin.
- And the servant shall not remain in the house for ever; the Son is forever.
- And if the Son therefore make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
- I know that ye are the seed of Abraham; but you seek to kill me, for my word does not enter into you.
- I speak of what I have seen with my Father, and ye do that which you have seen with your father.
- And they answered and said unto him, Our father is Abraham. Jesus said to them, "If you were children of Abraham, you would do the works of Abraham.
- But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which hath heard of God; Abraham did not do this.
- Ye do the works of your father. And they said unto him, We are not born of fornication; we have a Father, who is God.
- And Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I went forth, and came from God; I did not come from myself, but he sent me.
- Why do ye not understand my speech? For ye can not hear my word.
You are the father of the devil, and you want to satisfy the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and was not established in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he utters a lie, he speaks of what is his own, because he is a liar, and the father of lies.
- But because I tell you the truth, you do not believe me.
- Who among you convicteth me of sin? And if I tell you the truth, why do you not believe?
- He that is of God hearkeneth unto the words of God; therefore you do not listen to them, because you are not of God.
- And the Jews answered and said unto him, Shall we not say that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?
- Jesus answered, I have no devil; but I honor my Father, and ye do dishonor me.
- I do not seek my glory; there are those who seek it, and judge.
- Verily, verily, I say unto you, If any man keep my word, he shall never see death.
- And the Jews said unto him, We know now that thou hast a devil. Abraham and the prophets died; and thou sayest, If any man keep my word, he shall never taste death.
- Art thou greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets also died. Who do you make yourself?
- Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing; The one who glorifies me is my Father, whom you say is your God.
- And ye know him not, but I know him. And if I say that I do not know him, I will be a liar like you; but I know him and keep his word.
- And Abraham your father rejoiced to see my day, and saw it, and was glad.
- And the Jews said unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
- Jesus saith unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
- And they took stones to throw at him; but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, and passed through them, and he departed.
