The Cure Of A Lame At The Temple Gate In Jerusalem Acts 3

The Cure Of A Lame At The Temple Gate In Jerusalem
- And Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
- And there was a man brought up from the womb of his mother, who was lame, and laid it at the door of the temple every day, called Formosa, to ask alms to them that went in.
- And when he saw Peter and John going into the temple, he asked for alms.
- And Peter, with John, looking upon him, said, Look unto us.
And he looked upon them, hoping to receive something from them.
- And Peter said, I have neither silver nor gold; but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, stand up and walk.
- And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up, and straightway his feet and his feet were fastened.
- And he leaped up, and stood, and walked, and went with them into the temple, and walked, and leaped, and praised God.
- And all the people saw him walking and praising God;
- And they knew him, for he was the one who sat down to ask for alms at the beautiful gate of the temple; and they were filled with astonishment and astonishment, because of what had happened to him.

The Speech Of Peter To The Ear Of The People
- And when the lame man that had been healed by Peter and John was taken, all the people ran in amazement to them, to the porch called Solomon.
- And when Peter saw it, he said unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel at this? Or, why do you look so much upon us, as if by our own virtue or holiness we have made this man walk?
- And the God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his son Jesus, whom thou hast delivered, and denied before the face of Pilate, and hath determined that he should be loosed.
- But ye have denied the holy and the just, and desired to be given a manslaughter.
- And ye slew the prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.
- And by his faith he hath made his name to strengthen him whom ye see and know; yea, the faith that cometh by him, hath given him, in the presence of all of you, this perfect health.
- And now, brethren, I know that ye have done it by ignorance, as also your princes.
- And God did that which he had spoken before by the mouth of all his prophets; that Christ was to suffer.
- Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, and that the times of refreshing come in the presence of the Lord,
- And send him to Jesus Christ, which was preached to you aforetime.
- Which the heavens should contain until the times of the restoration of all things, of which God spake from the mouth of all his holy prophets from the beginning.
- For Moses said unto the fathers, The LORD your God shall raise up a prophet like unto me from among your brethren; to him will ye hear in all that I say unto you.
And it shall come to pass, that every soul that will not hearken unto this prophet shall be cut off from among the people.
- Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel, all that spake after, also foretold these days.
- And ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, In thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
- Raising God to his Son Jesus, first sent him to you, that he might bless you therein, to separate you from every one of you in your iniquities.
