Paulo In The City Of Corinth Acts Chapter 18

Paulo In The City Of Corinth
- And after this Paul departed from Athens, and came to Corinth.
- And finding a certain Jew by the name of Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had just come from Italy, and Priscilla his wife (for Claudius had commanded all the Jews to leave Rome), he joined them,
- And being of the same office, he abode with them, and worked; because they had the office to make tents.
- And every sabbath day he disputed in the synagogue, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
- And when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was moved in the spirit, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.
- And he resisted and blasphemed them, and shook off his garments, and said unto them, Let your blood be upon your head; I am clean, and now I am giving birth to the Gentiles.
- And he went out from thence, and entered into the house of a man called Justus, that served God, and whose house was by the synagogue.
- And Crispus, the chief of the synagogue, believed in the Lord with all his house: and many of the Corinthians, hearing it, believed and were baptized.
- And the Lord said in a vision unto Paul, Fear not, but speak, and be not silent;
For I am with thee, and no man will lay hands on thee to hurt thee; for I have much people in this city.
- And he abode there a year and six months, teaching among them the word of God.

Paul Per Gallon
- And when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews rose up together against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,
- Saying, He persuadeth men to serve God against the law.
- And when Paul would open his mouth, Gallio said unto the Jews, If there be any grievance or great crime, O Jews,
- But if it be a matter of words, and of names, and of the law which is among you, see it yourselves; because I do not want to be judge of these things.
- And he drove them out of the court.
- And all the Greeks seized Sosthenes, chief of the synagogue, and smote him before the judgment-seat; and to Gallio none of these things bothered him. The Travels of the Apostle Paul
- And Paul stayed there many days, and took leave of his brethren, and sailed thence to Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila, and shaved his head in Cenchrea, because he had a vow.
- And he came to Ephesus, and left them there; but he entered into the synagogue and contended with the Jews. 20 - And when they begged him to tarry for a while, he would not do it.
- And he said goodbye unto them, saying, It is very necessary for me to keep the solemnity that cometh in Jerusalem; but wanting God, I'll come back to you again. And he departed from Ephesus.
- And when he was come to Caesarea, he went up to Jerusalem, and saluted the church, and went down to Antioch.

Aquila Instructs Apollo
- And being there for some time, he departed, and passed through the province of Galatia and Phrygia, confirming all the disciples.
- And a certain Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, an eloquent and mighty man in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus.
- And he was instructed in the way of the Lord, and fervent in spirit, speaking and teaching diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
- And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue; and when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him and told him more precisely the way of God.
- And it came to pass, when he went to Achaia, that the brethren encouraged him, and wrote unto the disciples that they should receive him; who, having come, has profited greatly those who by grace create.
- For with great vehemence he publicly convinced the Jews, showing by the Scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.
