Book of Revelation of John the Evangelist

1 - REVELATION of Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his servants the things that are soon to happen; and by his angel he sent them, and notified them to John his servant;
2 - Who testified of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all that he has seen.
3 - Blessed is he who reads, and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things that are written on it; because the time is near.

John dedicates the book of Revelation to the seven churches of Asia
4 - John, to the seven churches in Asia: Grace and peace be with you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits who are before his throne;
5 - And on the part of Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him who loved us, and washed us from our sins in his blood,
6 - And he made us kings and priests to God and his Father; glory and power to him forever and ever. Amen.
7 - Behold, he comes with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Yes, Amen.
8 - I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, says the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

John sees in a vision the power and glory of the Lamb of God
9 - I, John, who am also your brother, and a companion in affliction, and in the kingdom, and the patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island called Patmos, because of the word of God, and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 - I was caught up in the Spirit on the day of the Lord, and I heard a great voice behind me, like a trumpet,
11 - Who said: I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last; and what you see, write it in a book, and send it to the seven churches in Asia: Ephesus, and Smyrna, and Pergamum, and Thyatira, and Sardis, and Philadelphia, and Laodicea.
12 - And I turned to see who was talking to me. And as I turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 - And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one similar to the Son of Man, dressed to the feet in a long garment, and girded by the breasts with a gold belt.
14 - And his head and hair were white like white wool, like snow, and his eyes like a flame of fire;
15 - And their feet, like shiny brass, as if they had been refined in a furnace, and their voice like the voice of many waters.
16 - And he had seven stars in his right hand; and a sharp two-edged sword came out of his mouth; and his face was like the sun, when it shines in its strength.
17 - And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead; and he put his right hand on me, saying to me, Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last;
18 - And what I live and I was killed, but here I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys to death and hell.
19 - Write down the things you have seen, and the things that are, and the things that will happen after these;
20 - The mystery of the seven stars, which you saw in my right hand, and of the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks, which you have seen, are the seven churches.

The sins of Edom and the restoration and happiness of Israel - Obadiah

The sins and punishment of Edom
1 - The vision of Obadiah: Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom: We have heard the preaching of the LORD, and an emissary has been sent to the Gentiles, saying, Arise, and let us rise up against it for war.
2 - Behold, I have made thee small among the Gentiles; You are very despised.
3 - The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, as that which dwelleth in the clefts of the rocks, in her high house, which saith in her heart, Who shall bring me down to the earth?
4 - Thou shalt rise as an eagle, and set thy nest among the stars, from thence will I bring thee down, saith the LORD.
5 - If thieves, or robbers come to you at night (how are you destroyed!), Would they not steal what was enough for them? If the grape pickers came to you, would not they leave some grapes?
6 - How the goods of Esau were far fetched! How their hidden treasures were investigated!
7 - All thy confederates have taken thee to the frontier; those who enjoy your peace deceived you, prevailed against you; those who eat your bread have put a trap under you; there is no understanding in him.
8 - Shall it not be in that day, saith the LORD, that I will destroy the wise men of Edom, and the understanding of the mount of Esau?
9 - And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be afraid, that they be cut off from the mount of Esau by the slaughter.
10 - Because of the violence done to thy brother Jacob, the confusion shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.
11 In the day that thou didst confront him, in the day that strangers took captive his army, and strangers entered through his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, thou wast as one of them.
12 - But thou shalt not look with favor upon thy brother's day in the day of his misfortune; nor rejoice over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; nor widen thy mouth in the day of trouble;
13 - Neither go in by the gate of my people, in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shalt not look satisfied in the day of his calamity; nor lay hold of their goods in the day of their calamity;
14 Neither stop at the crossroads, to cut off those that escape; nor deliver up those that remain unto him in the day of trouble.
15 - For the day of the LORD is near, over all the nations; as thou hast done, so shall it be done unto thee; your reward will return on your head.
16 - For as ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the Gentiles drink continually. they will drink, and they will drink, and they will be as if they had never been.

The Restoration and Happiness of Israel
17 - But on Mount Zion shall be deliverance, and he shall be holy; and the house of Jacob shall possess their inheritance.
18 - And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau straw; and they shall burn themselves against them, and consume them; and there shall be none left of the house of Esau: for the LORD hath spoken it.
19 - And those of the south shall possess the mount of Esau, and of the plains, the Philistines; and the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria; and Benjamin shall possess Gilead.
20 - And the captives of this host of the children of Israel shall possess the Canaanites unto Zarephath; and the captives of Jerusalem, which are in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south.
21 - And saviors shall mount up to mount Zion, to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD's.

The announcement of the vocation of the Gentiles - Micah 4

The announcement of the vocation of the Gentiles
1 - But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and the people shall flow unto it.
2 - And many nations shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob, to teach us his ways, and to walk in his paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
3 - And he shall judge among many peoples, and shall punish nations that are mighty and far off, and shall turn their swords into shovels, and their spears into pruning hooks; one nation will not lift up the sword against another nation, nor learn war anymore.
4 - But every man shall sit under his vine, and under his fig tree, and there shall be no one to make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.
5 - For all nations walk, every man in the name of his god; but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God, for ever and ever.
6 - In that day, saith the LORD, I will gather her that lamented, and gather her that was cast out, and that which I had mistreated.
7 And I will make a remnant of her that was lame, and out of that which was cast out afar off, a mighty nation; and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion, from henceforth and for ever.
8 - And unto thee, O tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion, shall come unto thee; yea, the first domain will come to you, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.
9 - And now, why doest thou such mourning? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished? Has the pain seized you, as of the woman in labor?
10 She suffereth pains, and laboreth to bear, O daughter of Zion, as she that travaileth; for now thou shalt go out of the city, and dwell in the field, and shalt come to Babylon; there you will be delivered; there the Lord will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.
11 - Now many nations are gathered together against thee, which say, Let it be profaned, and let our eyes see their desire upon Zion.
12 - But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither do they understand his counsel; because he gathered them together like knives in a threshing floor.
13 Rise up, O daughter of Zion; for I will make your horn iron, and your nails brass; and thou shalt beat many peoples, and their gain shall be holy unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of all the earth.
Lord of the earth, thy nails, thou shalt break it, Babylon the profaned, the strength of the daughter of Zion, the strength of Zion, thou shalt go out of the city, thou shalt dwell in the field, the tower of the flock, the tower of the flock, the daughter of Jerusalem, hail, remnant, Come, and let us go up, mount the LORD.
