- For he could sell himself for more than three hundred pence, and give it to the poor. And they roared at her.
- But Jesus said, Let her alone, why do you trouble her? She did me a good deed.
- For ye have the poor always with you, and ye are able to do them good, when ye will; but you do not always have me.
- She did what she could; he anticipated anointing my body to the grave.
Verily I say unto you, that in all parts of the world where this gospel is preached, whatsoever it did shall also be reckoned to his remembrance.

- But he answered and said unto them, He is one of the twelve, who layeth his hand with me in the dish.
- Truly the Son of man goeth, as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would be good for such a man not to have been born.

- And he said unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death; stay here and watch.
- And he went a little farther, and fell upon the earth; and prayed that, if it were possible, that hour should pass from him.
- And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; turn this cup away from me; do not be what I want, but what you want.
- And when he came, he found them sleeping; and said to Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? Can not you watch for an hour?
- Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit is ready, but the flesh is weak.
- And he went again and prayed, saying the same words.
- And when he returned, he found them sleeping again, because his eyes were heavy, and they knew not what to answer him.
- And he returned a third time, and saith unto them, Sleep now, and rest. Enough; the time has come. Behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
- Arise, let us go; behold, he who betrays me is near.

Jesus is arrested by the guard of the temple and by Roman soldiers
- And immediately, as he spake, Judas, who was one of the twelve, came from the chief priests, and from the scribes and the elders, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves.
- And he that betrayed him had given them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that man is; hold him, and lead him safely.
- And when he was come, he came to him, and said unto him, Rabbi, Rabbi. And kissed him.
- And they laid hands on him, and took him.
- And one of them that stood by with the sword smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
- And Jesus answering said unto them, Have ye come out with swords and staves to bind me as a robber?
- Every day I was with you teaching in the temple, and you did not arrest me; but this is for the Scriptures to be fulfilled.

- And a certain young man followed him, wrapped in a sheet upon the naked body. And they laid a hand upon him.
- And he, casting off the sheet, fled naked.

Jesus is judged by the council of the Sanhedrin and the denial of Peter

- And Peter followed him afar off into the court of the high priest, and sat with the servants, and warmed themselves with fire.
- And the chief priests and all the council sought some testimony against Jesus to kill him, and found him not.
- For many testified falsely against him, but the testimonies were not consistent.
- And when some stood up, they testified falsely against him, saying,
- We have heard him say, I will overthrow this temple, built by the hands of men; and in three days I will build another, not made by hands of men.
And yet his testimony was not inconsistent.
- And when the high priest stood up in the Sanhedrin, he asked Jesus, saying, Do you not answer? What do they testify against you?
- But he was silent, and answered nothing. And the high priest asked him again, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the God of the Blessed?
- And Jesus saith unto him, I am, and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of the power of God, and coming upon the clouds of heaven.
- And the high priest tore his clothes, and said, Why do we need more witnesses?
- Ye have heard blasphemy; What do you think? And everyone considered him guilty of death.
- And some began to spit upon him, and to cover his face, and to give him handfuls, and to say unto him, Prophesy. And the servants slapped him.
- And when Peter was under the court, there came one of the servants of the high priest;
- And when Peter saw that he was waxing, he looked at him, and said, Thou also was with Jesus of Nazareth.
- But he denied it, saying, I know him not, nor know what thou sayest. And he went out into the porch, and the cock crowed.
- And the maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, saying, This is one of them.
But he denied it again. And shortly afterward those who were there said again to Peter, Truly you are one of them, for you are also Galilean, and your speech is similar.
- And he began to swear, and to swear, I know not this man of whom ye speak.
- And the cock crowed the second time. And Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he withdrew himself, and wept.
