The Conversion Of Saul To The Way Of Damascus - Acts 9

The Conversion Of Saul To The Way Of Damascus
- And Saul, breathing breath and death upon the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest.
- And he asked for letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if any of them were found of this way, both men and women, he would bring them bound to Jerusalem.
- And it came to pass on the way, that he came to Damascus, and suddenly a light of heaven shone round about him.
- And he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
- And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus, whom you persecute. Hard for you to kick against the goads.
- And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and there it shall be told thee what it is good for thee to do.
- And the men that were with him, stood in amazement, and heard the voice, but saw no man.
- And Saul arose from the earth, and opened his eyes, and saw no man. And they led him by the hand, and brought him to Damascus.
- And he had not seen for three days, neither did he eat nor drink.
- And there was in Damascus a certain disciple named Ananias; And the Lord said unto him in a vision, Ananias! And he said, Here am I, Lord.
- And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street called the Right, and inquire in the house of Judas for a man of Tarsus called Saul; for behold, he is praying;
- And in a vision he saw a man come in, named Ananias, and laid his hand upon him, that he might see again.
- And Ananias said, Lord, I have heard many concerning this man, how many evils he hath done to thy saints in Jerusalem;
And here is the power of the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
- And the LORD said unto him, Go, for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and the kings, and the children of Israel.
- And I will show him how much he must suffer for my name's sake.
- And Ananias went and entered into the house, and laid his hands upon him, and said, Brother Saul the Lord Jesus, which hath appeared unto thee in the way whither thou goest, hath sent me, that ye may see again, and be filled with the Holy Ghost .
- And immediately they fell out of his eyes like scales, and he recovered his sight; and he arose and was baptized.
- And when he had eaten, he was comforted. And Saul was there a few days with the disciples that were in Damascus.

Saulo Prega In Damascus
- And immediately he preached in the synagogues to Christ, who is the Son of God.
- And all they that heard him were astonished, and said, Is not this he that persecuted them that called on this name in Jerusalem, and hath come here to take them bound unto the chief priests?
- But Saul was more laborious, and confounded the Jews that dwelt in Damascus, proving that he was the Christ.
- And it came to pass, when the Jews had spent many days, that they took counsel together to kill him.
- But their snare came to the knowledge of Saul; and how they kept the doors, both day and night, that they might take away his life,
- And it came to pass, when the disciples had taken it by night, that they went down into the basket in the basket by the wall.
- And when Saul came to Jerusalem, he sought to be joined unto the disciples, but all feared him, not believing that he was a disciple.
- And Barnabas took him, and brought him unto the apostles, and told them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and had spoken unto him, and how he had spoken boldly in Damascus in the name of Jesus.
- And he went with them into Jerusalem, going in and out,
- And he spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus. He spoke and disputed against the Greeks, but they sought to kill him.
- But the brethren knew him, and went with him unto Caesarea, and sent him to Tarsus.

The Ministry Of Peter
- And the churches throughout all Judaea, and Galilee, and Samaria, had peace, and were built; and were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and consolation of the Holy Spirit.
- And it came to pass, as Peter passed by on every side, that he came also unto the saints that dwelt in Lydda.
- And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, lying in bed eight years, and he was paralyzed.
- And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh health; get up and make your bed. And then he got up.
- And all they that dwelt in Lydda and Saronah saw him, and they turned to the LORD.
- And there was in Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which is called Dorcas. This one was full of good works and alms that it did.
- And it came to pass in those days, that when she was sick, she died; and having washed it, they laid it in a high room.
- And when Lydda was near to Joppa, when the disciples heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, begging him not to tarry with them.
- And Peter arose, and went with them; and when he came, they brought him into the upper chamber, and all the widows surrounded him, weeping and showing the coats and clothes that Dorcas had made with them.
- But when Peter had brought them all forth, he fell on his knees, and prayed, and turned to his body, and said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes, and saw Peter, and sat down.
- And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and called the saints and the widows, and presented her alive.
- And it was known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
- And he tarried many days in Joppa, with a certain Simon tanner.
