Jesus of the Holy Spirit Comforter who will guide the whole truth John 16

Jesus of the Holy Spirit Comforter who will guide the whole truth
- I have said these things, that ye be not dismayed.
- They shall drive you out of the synagogues; there is even the hour when anyone who kills you will see to the service of God.
- And this they shall do unto you, because they knew not the Father, neither me.
- But this I have spoken unto you, that when the hour is come you may remember that I told you. And I did not tell you this from the beginning, because I was with you.
- And now I go to him that sent me; and none of you ask me, Where are you going?
- For this I have told you, your heart is filled with sorrow.
- But I tell you the truth, that it is expedient for you that I go; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but when I go, I will send him.
- And when he cometh, he shall convince the world of sin, and of righteousness and of judgment.
- Of the sin, because they do not believe in me;
- Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
- And of the judgment: for the prince of this world is judged already.
- I have much more to tell you, but you can not bear it now.
- But when he, the Spirit of truth, cometh, he will guide you into all truth; for he will not speak of himself, but will speak all that he has heard, and he will tell you what is to come.
- He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and he shall proclaim it.
- All that the Father hath is mine; therefore I have told you that you will receive from what is mine and you will announce it.
- A little, and ye shall not see me; and again a little, and ye shall see me; because I go to the Father.
- And certain of his disciples said one to another, What is this that he saith unto us? A little, and you will not see me; and again a little, and ye shall see me; and: Because I go to the Father?
- And they said, What meaneth it? A little? We do not know what it says.
- And Jesus therefore knew that they would ask him, and said unto them, Tell ye among yourselves of this, that he said, A little, and ye shall not see me, and yet a little while, and ye shall see me?
- Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, and the world shall rejoice, and ye shall be sorrowful: but your sorrow shall be turned to joy.
The woman, when she is about to give birth, feels sadness, because her hour has come; but after having given birth to the child, he no longer remembers the affliction, for the pleasure of having been born a man in the world.
- Yea, even so now are ye sorrowful; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and your joy will not take it away from you.
- And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask of my Father in my name, he shall give it unto you.
- Thou hast asked nothing in my name; ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be fulfilled.

Jesus overcame the world
- He said these things to them in parables; But the time comes when I will not speak to you in parables, but I will openly tell you about the Father.
- In that day ye shall ask in my name, and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you;
- For the same Father loveth you, seeing ye have loved me, and believed that I went out from God.
- I came forth out of the Father, and came into the world; I leave the world again, and go to the Father.
- And his disciples said unto him, Behold now thou speakest openly, and speakest not a parable.
Now we know that thou knowest all things, and thou shalt not need that any man should question thee. That's why we believe that you left God.
- And he said unto them, Believest thou now?
- Behold, the hour cometh, and cometh near, when ye shall be scattered every man to his part, and leave me alone; but I am not alone, because the Father is with me. 33 - These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace; in the world ye shall have afflictions, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
